We use all white meat
chicken breasts, flank steak & ground beef for our primary meats. The chicken is
marinated with some fruit juices & seasonings. We trim additional fat from the
meat before & after cooking.
Our next fillings start as
dry - rice & black beans. We add just a bit of seasoning & cook in water.
These are vegetarian & fat-free.
The mushrooms, yellow
squash, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, jalapenos, cilantro are all FRESH PRODUCE that
we cut daily. The lettuce is pre-cut fresh produce. Accordingly, these are all
fat-free.
Cheese & sour cream
are 100% REAL. Our feeling is, the real thing tastes better than low-fat or no-fat
substitutes with chemicals. Personally, I would rather have less of the real thing,
than more of an imitation.
You can make a very
low-fat burrito by choosing chicken, veggie or a rice & bean burrito / nacho salad
& cutting back on the cheese & sour cream.
